Banbury Cross Therapeutic Equestrian Center has been established to better the quality
of life for people with special needs through therapeutic equestrian activities.
The center provides the opportunity for each rider to develop to his or her greatest
potential. Through training and involvement of staff and volunteers, Banbury Cross
also hopes to strengthen understanding toward people with special needs.
Thanks to EVERYONE who made our
2014 Derby Day Celebration
the most successful in the history of Banbury Cross

|Banbury Cross TEC is a PATH International (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship)
and yearly horse show for our participants. Banbury Cross TEC also runs programs with Oxford and
Lapeer area schools' special education classes. We have also had the privilege of being chosen as
one of a select few centers to receive funding through the Wounded Warrior Project, allowing us to
recently begun to offer Equine Assisted Psychotherapy sessions with Lapeer County Community Mental
Health. Even as we continue to grow and diversify our programming, we are constantly assessing our
participants' needs and the needs of our community to adequately expand our services.
